2022 - AUGUST FULL MOON

Phew!  My focus has been on launching my new class this month and I almost didn't get this full moon article out!
For anyone who wishes to attend my class, please click below on "Book a Session" and then select "Classes and Workshops".  I look forward to seeing you there.  Feel free to bring a friend!

So, this month's full moon is called the Sturgeon moon because it's a time when these large Sturgeon fish are plentiful and can be caught easily in the Great Lakes.

This will also be the last Supermoon this year so make sure you get your bare feet on the earth tonight and gaze up to enjoy her beauty.  She will be nice and big so take advantage of her powerful energy to cleanse your crystals by putting them outside to absorb the moon's glow.  She will be at her fullest at 9:36pm EDT tonight, August 11th.

Remember, full moons are a time to release that which does not serve us anymore.  This includes people, jobs, and possessions.  It's a time to get rid of the excess so that it will free our minds of the external clutter.  This ultimately cleanses our internal clutter as well.  Clutter is negative energy, folks!

This season's energy has been about taking back our control and being confident in going after what we want.  The moon represents our emotions and the sun represents our Ego.  This month's moon is in eccentric but defiant Aquarius while the Sun is in majestic Leo.

Don't be surprised if all the unfinished issues/situations we've been holding onto from our past don't float up to create some heavy emotions we once buried deep.  This energy will feel quite immovable which will force us to examine our moods all the more.  This examination is necessary in order for us to address and then release the weight of those unresolved issues.

We'll also need to make some pretty significant changes in order to release these heavy emotions so that we can create some healthier structure where we didn't have it before.  We need to be mindful that we don't become too fixed, however, especially when we are doing all this work to become mentally and emotionally free.  We just need to embrace our individuality and find creative ways to do what works best for our true selves.  This is also a terrific time to plan our next chapter for our future!  After all, we only have one full moon cycle left to complete all we need to do for this summer season.

Something to remember:  Good things come from being uncomfortable.  Allow that feeling to be observed, then do it anyway!

Until next month,

Virginia
